The Manager, Data Management supports all aspects of configuration control, data management, and deficiency reporting. The Manager works within specific guidelines and procedures, applying advanced technical knowledge to solve moderately complex problems. Assignments are given in the form of objectives, and the manager determines the approach, resources, schedules, and goals.
The role involves supporting the implementation of government and industry policies related to requirements management, document management, change management, production, delivery, and configuration management of the performance, functional, and physical baselines. The manager acquires, validates, stores, protects, and processes required data to ensure accessibility, reliability, and timeliness for users. They develop and execute architectures, policies, practices, and procedures to manage the full data lifecycle of an enterprise. Decisions are typically related to resources, approach, and tactical operations for projects within their department. The role requires cross-department collaboration, conducting briefings and meetings, and maintaining contact with other managers across the organization.
To work effectively remotely, employees' internet service must meet minimum speed requirements: 25 Mbps download and 10 Mbps upload, with wired or wireless connections recommended. Satellite, cellular, or microwave connections require approval. Employees in California, Illinois, Montana, or South Dakota will receive bi-weekly internet expense payments. Humana provides appropriate telephone equipment. Work should be done in a dedicated, interruption-free space to protect member PHI/HIPAA information. Occasional travel to Humana offices may be required for training or meetings.
