Job summary

Oracle is seeking a Data Center Cabling and Infrastructure Lead in the United States to guide teams in deploying physical plant cabling and to manage infrastructure for Oracle data centers. The role involves ensuring adherence to standards, coordinating with Program Management, and partnering with vendors to deliver scalable data center builds.

The position emphasizes continuous improvement and collaboration across stakeholders to deliver on-time project outcomes, including BOM review, execution

Data Center Design & Implementation-Cabling Infrastructure
  • Supervises contributions to designs for structured cabling solutions for new data center builds and expansions.
  • Provides guidance to team on the deployment of physical plant cabling systems.
  • Communicates global data center cabling and infrastructure standards and ensures team maintains adherence.
  • Contributes to troubleshooting standard and non-standard cabling infrastructure connectivity issues, including patch panels and patch cords as needed.
Data Center Design & Implementation-Implementation & Continuous Improvement
  • Manages the implementation of infrastructure for Oracle data centers.
  • Ensures delivery of sustainable and repeatable solutions to support the continuous improvement of data centers.
Project Management-Project Planning
  • Facilitates understanding of the scope of project work by reviewing the Bill of Materials and resources available and reviews the project roadmap to align with the scope and business needs.
  • Ensures team prioritizes customer experience in project planning and delivery.
Project Management-Reporting & Documentation
  • Connects team with Program Management teams to support completion of project deliverables on time.
  • Reviews reports and documentation of project updates to communicate status and roadblocks.
  • Contributes to maintaining documentation on cabling and build standards for data center infrastructure.
Vendor Management
  • Collaborates with vendors to deliver build out of data center infrastructure.
  • Participates in the vendor bidding and selection process.
  • Coaches team to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with internal and external project stakeholders.

  • Creates and owns the execution plan for the team's work and multiple projects or initiatives, monitoring timelines and budgets when applicable to ensure projects are completed on time and in adherence with requirements.   • Strengthens collaborative partnerships across teams to align on expectations and shared objectives. Guides team members to build relationships with business leaders, stakeholders, and/or customers to ensure effective collaboration. Practices active listening and asks insightful questions to promote an inclusive culture.

  • Leads team to identify and address moderately complex operational and/or technical issues in accordance with standard practices, providing guidance as appropriate. Directs team to analyze data and/or information from multiple sources to troubleshoot moderately complex errors.

  • Actively seeks learning opportunities for self and team to enhance knowledge and skills in key areas and remain current with industry advancements. Uses feedback and training to elevate personal and team skills, modeling a commitment to learning.   • Identifies and recommends improvements as well as encourages team to share ideas to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of processes, protocols, and workflows within a team.   • Coaches and provides direction to team members in alignment with performance management processes, guidelines, and expectations. Facilitates goal setting discussions with team members, ensuring individual goals are aligned with broader team goals. Identifies development opportunities to help team member's improve performance. Contributes to the talent acquisition pipeline by leading candidate interviews, assessing promotion eligibility, and managing talent resources.

Range and benefit information provided in this posting are specific to the stated locations only

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $102,300 - $209,500 per year. May be eligible for bonus and equity.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle's differing products, industries and lines of business.

Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.

  • Paid sick leave: 72 hours of paid sick leave upon date of hire. Refreshes each calendar year. Unused balance will carry over each year up to a maximum cap of 112 hours.
