Role and Responsibilities

Job Summary The Digital Appliances (DA) POP & Project Manager is responsible for the end‑to‑end planning, production, and in‑store execution of all Point‑of‑Purchase (POP) displays and retail marketing assets across national retail accounts (e.g., The Home Depot, Lowe’s, Best Buy, and regional dealer networks) and Samsung branded spaces. This role combines creative project leadership with operational rigor. You will oversee POP material production and deployment, and support retail partners with the creation and implementation of new merchandising fixtures and displays. This role sits at the intersection of retail strategy and operational execution, ensuring that Samsung’s industry‑leading Digital Appliances—spanning Refrigeration, Laundry, Cooking, Dishwashers, and SmartThings connected home ecosystems—are showcased with best‑in‑class brand presence and flawless execution.

Key Responsibilities
  • POP (Point‑of‑Purchase) Project Management Manage the full lifecycle of POP programs — from brief and creative development through production, logistics, and field installation — for DA retail locations. Partner with internal creative teams and external print/production vendors to develop POP materials (signage, header cards, shelf talkers, interactive displays, etc.) that align with DA brand standards. Coordinate POP material distribution schedules with field teams and retail partners, tracking delivery and installation compliance across all assigned accounts. Review and approve POP proofs, ensuring accuracy of product information, pricing, regulatory compliance, and visual brand consistency prior to production release. Maintain a POP asset library and manage version control to ensure field teams and vendors always have access to current, approved materials. Track POP program performance and compile post‑installation compliance reports with photo documentation for stakeholder review.

  • DA Merchandising Project Management Lead project management for DA retail merchandising initiatives, including new product launches, seasonal resets, and permanent display installations across key retail accounts. Serve as the primary point of contact for DA merchandising projects, coordinating timelines, budgets, deliverables, and stakeholder communication across internal teams, vendors, and retail partners. Develop and maintain detailed project plans, milestone trackers, and status reports to ensure on‑time, on‑budget delivery of DA merchandising programs. Collaborate with the DA Retail Business team to understand brand strategy, assortment priorities, and in‑store objectives, translating these into executable merchandising plans.

  • Budgeting, PO Management & Governance Budget Tracking: Manage multi‑million‑dollar annual retail fixture and POP budgets, tracking cost allocations across multiple product categories and retailer programs. Procurement Operations: Generate, track, and reconcile Purchase Orders (POs) and statements of work (SOWs) using Samsung procurement systems (SAP), ensuring prompt invoice processing and zero budget leakage. Cost Optimization: Drive value‑engineering initiatives with fabricators to optimize unit production costs and freight efficiency without compromising quality.

  • Cross‑Functional Leadership & Reporting Field Labor Alignment: Collaborate with third‑party field labor agencies and internal retail field teams to execute display installations, de‑installations, and warranty maintenance. Compliance Auditing: Monitor real‑time field reporting dashboards to verify on‑shelf availability, POP placement compliance, and display power/connectivity uptime. Stakeholder Alignment: Serve as the primary retail project liaison between Product Marketing, Sales Operations, Supply Chain, Retail Strategy, and Legal/Brand compliance. Executive Dashboards: Build and present executive‑level project tracking reports, risk assessments, and post‑launch ROI evaluations for leadership review.

Qualifications
  • 6+ years of progressive experience in Retail Merchandising, POP production, fixture design, or related DA/CE retail operations is required
  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field such as Marketing, Industrial Design, Visual Merchandising, or Business are advantageous.
  • Demonstrated experience managing POP programs and/or fixture design projects from brief through in‑store installation.
  • Experience with planogram software (e.g., JDA/Blue Yonder, Nielsen Spaceman, or equivalent) is a plus.
  • Previous retail system experience with web‑based retail management or CMMS platforms preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel); experience with Power BI, Tableau, or similar data visualization tools is a plus.
  • Highly effective interpersonal, communication, and cross‑functional collaboration skills across all levels.
  • Excellent business communication and presentation skills, including the ability to present visual concepts to retail partners and senior stakeholders.
  • Proven track record of managing multiple concurrent projects with strong attention to detail and deadlines.
  • Full‑time, on‑site position in Plano, TX, with availability to work after regular business hours and on weekends as needed.
Preferred Skills
  • Execution Rigor: Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to manage 20+ overlapping project timelines simultaneously in a fast‑paced environment
  • Broad understanding of retail landscape trends, evolving shopper behavior, and competitive positioning.
