Job summary

Kautex in Detroit, MI seeks a Manager Controlling to drive budget, investment and cost centre planning and to ensure accurate month-end closing. The role requires 3–5 years in Controlling within an international automotive context and strong SAP/R3 and Excel skills. English proficiency is required.

The incumbent will report to management and HQ, coordinate PIAP actions, identify risks and opportunities, and ensure SOX-compliant workflows across intercompany charges and HQ plans.

Qualifications

• University degree in Business administration/Controlling/Finance required.
• 3–5 years of business experience in Controlling or related fields.
• Experience in an international automotive company beneficial.
• Good understanding of Internal Control (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) is necessary.
• Strong SAP/R3 knowledge and MS Excel proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Budget-, investment- and cost centre planning (AOP).
• Ensure the correctness of periodical month end closing.
• Understand actual results and variances vs. prior forecast and AOP.
• Provide monthly Forecast Updates.
• Report to Kautex management and HQ according to due dates and requirements.
• Coordinate PIAP processes and measure PIAP actions.
• Identify risks and opportunities and initiate action plans to avoid negative impacts.
• Develop and document workflows in compliance with Textron policies and SOX (404).
• Coordinate intercompany cross charges and HQ Capital Plan / Forecast.
• Handle Inventory/Stock taking and adjust plans when variances occur.

What awaits you:

• Responsible for budget-, investment- and cost centre planning (AOP)
• Ensure the correctness of periodical month end closing
• Understand actual result/costs - especially through variance analysis vs. prior forecast and AOP
• Provide monthly Forecast Updates
• Ensure reporting to Kautex management and headquarters according to the "Due Dates" and according to management requirements
• Initiate and coordinate the PIAP processes. Assure the correct measurement of PIAP actions and support of the activities.
• Identify risks and opportunities and initiate action plans to avoid negative impacts
• Responsible for the development and documentation of workflows in compliance with Textron policies and Sarbanes-Oxley (404)
• Responsible for intercompany cross charges
• Responsible for HQ Capital Plan / Forecast and handling of CAR’s for the HQ
• Initiate and coordinate the Inventory/Stock taking
• Create and control adjustment plans if variances occur

What you’ll need to succeed:

• University Degree in Business administration/Controlling/Finance
• 3-5 years in business experience in Controlling or related fields
• Experience in an international automotive company
• Good understanding of Internal Control (Sarbanes Oxley Act) is necessary
• Good knowledge of SAP/R3
• Good Microsoft Office knowledge (especially Excel)
• English language is required
