Job summary

Driven Brands, headquartered in Charlotte, NC, seeks a Manager, Consolidations and Intercompany to support the consolidation process, intercompany accounting, eliminations, and close activities in a complex public-company environment.

This role focuses on data integrity, FCCS flow, SOX controls, process improvement, and collaboration with Internal Audit, tax, treasury, and external auditors to ensure timely, accurate close and remediation of material weaknesses.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, CPA required.
• 5–7+ years of progressive accounting experience, public company preferred.
• Experience with consolidations, intercompany accounting, eliminations, multi-entity close.
• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP, SOX controls, and close requirements.

Job Description

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Corporate Accounting and Consolidations, the Manager, Consolidations and Intercompany will be responsible for supporting the Company’s consolidation process, intercompany accounting, eliminations, and related close activities in a complex public-company environment.

This role is designed for a detail-oriented accounting professional with strong consolidation, systems, and controls experience. The Manager will help ensure the completeness and accuracy of consolidated results, the integrity of intercompany transactions, and the reliability of data flowing into and out of the Company’s consolidation system, Financial Consolidation and Close Cloud Service (FCCS).

The position will play an important role in the Company’s material weakness remediation journey by strengthening consolidation governance, improving intercompany discipline, enhancing documentation standards, and supporting well-controlled close execution.

How You Will Own It

• Support the monthly and quarterly consolidation process, including consolidation entries, eliminations, roll-forward schedules, fluctuation analysis, and close deliverables.
• Validate completeness and accuracy of entity-level submissions and consolidated results, with focus on timely issue identification and resolution.
• Own or support the flow of information into and out of FCCS, ensuring data integrity, appropriate mapping, and alignment with reporting requirements.
• Prepare and review consolidation support used by Financial Reporting, Corporate Accounting leadership, and external auditors.

Intercompany Accounting & Eliminations

• Manage intercompany accounting processes, including transaction review, confirmations, settlements, reconciliations, eliminations, and dispute resolution.
• Partner with business units, shared services, tax, treasury, and financial reporting to ensure intercompany activity is complete, accurate, and properly supported.
• Identify and resolve intercompany mismatches, aging balances, and elimination issues before consolidated results are finalized.
• Improve policies, procedures, and governance over intercompany transactions to support sustainable close execution and control effectiveness.

SOX, Controls & Remediation

• Execute and evidence SOX controls related to consolidations, intercompany, eliminations, and system-generated reports.
• Support remediation of control deficiencies by improving process documentation, review precision, evidence quality, and ownership clarity.
• Partner with Internal Audit, the SOX second line of defense, and external auditors to respond to requests and resolve control or audit issues timely.

Process Improvement & Stakeholder Engagement

• Help redesign consolidation and intercompany processes to improve timeliness, accuracy, transparency, and repeatability.
• Leverage technology, automation, and standard reporting to reduce manual effort and improve visibility into close status and recurring issues.
• Communicate clearly with stakeholders on close timelines, open items, accounting conclusions, and remediation progress.

What You’ll Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA required
• 5–7+ years of progressive accounting experience, with public accounting and/or public company industry experience strongly preferred
• Experience with consolidations, intercompany accounting, eliminations, and multi-entity close processes
• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP, SOX controls, PCAOB audit expectations, and public-company close requirements
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, documentation, and stakeholder communication skills

Strongly Preferred

• Experience supporting material weakness remediation, control redesign, or close process transformation
• Experience using consolidation systems; FCCS experience strongly preferred
• Comfort working in complex, fast-paced environments with evolving processes and high visibility
• Ability to partner effectively with business units, shared services, tax, treasury, financial reporting, internal audit, and external auditors
• Highly detail-oriented and comfortable working through complex consolidation and intercompany issues
• Disciplined about documentation, controls, account ownership, and timely issue resolution
• Effective at bringing structure and transparency to processes that are still being matured
• Comfortable partnering across functions
