Job summary

Salesforce is seeking a Manager, Compliance - Public Sector Contracts to lead the validation framework for global public sector obligations and to mitigate FCA exposure. The role reports to the Chief Compliance Officer and sits at the intersection of Risk, Legal, Tech, and Public Sector Operations.

Responsibilities include end-to-end risk categorization, self-certification validations, and high-level risk reporting, with collaboration across Internal Audit, Legal, and Public Sector Contracts

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of progressive experience in compliance, government contract management, internal audit, or enterprise risk management.
  • Public Sector Expertise: Strong foundation in U.S. federal and public sector contracting compliance, including FCA risks.
  • Control Validation & Data Mastery: Proven background executing control validation methodologies and managing high-volume data sets.
  • Tooling Proficiency: Hands-on experience with eGRC/GRC platforms and risk controls software.
  • Stakeholder Management: Exceptional communication skills with cross-functional initiatives.

  • Collaborate with outside counsel and internal Legal to resolve validation questions.
  • Coordinate with Public Sector Contracts Management and eGRC Engineering to map and automate obligations and controls.
  • Partner with eGRC sprint teams to prioritize platform enhancements and workflow automation.
  • Mentor and develop a Compliance Analyst; scale operations as volumes grow.

The Opportunity

As the Manager, Compliance - Public Sector Contracts, you will play a critical role in protecting Salesforce’s reputation and driving operational excellence across our global public sector business (AMER, EMEA, JAPAC). You will lead independent validation of compliance controls for ~2,000 annual non-standard public sector obligations and build a scalable, risk-based validation program on our enterprise eGRC platform. This high-visibility position sits at the intersection of Risk, Legal, Tech, and Public Sector Operations. You will directly report to the Chief Compliance Officer (CCO), and mitigate False Claims Act (FCA) exposure.

What You’ll Actually Be Doing
Program Ownership & Execution
  • Drive the Validation Framework: Lead the end-to-end risk categorization of ~2,000 annual non-standard public sector contractual obligations across global markets.
  • Run Self-Certification Validations: Design and execute semi-annual, evidence-backed self-certification validation processes targeting high-risk obligations to ensure zero gap in compliance.
  • Mitigate Enterprise Risk: Continuously evaluate False Claims Act exposure and deliver high-level risk reporting, trend analysis, and actionable insights to CCO leadership.
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Audit Lead
  • Audit Liaison: Serve as the primary point of contact for Internal Audit, managing tracking, evidence package delivery, and remediation status.
  • Legal & Regulatory Advisory: Partner closely with outside counsel and internal legal teams to resolve complex validation-standard questions.
  • Contract & Tech Integration: Collaborate with Public Sector Contracts Management team and eGRC Engineering to ensure obligations and controls are mapped, tracked, and automated ahead of validation cycles.
  • Product Roadmap Support: Partner with eGRC sprint teams to prioritize platform enhancements, workflow automation, and feature rollouts.
Leadership & Team Growth
  • People Management: Mentor, manage, and develop a Compliance Analyst, fostering a high-performance culture.
  • Scale Operations: Continuously improve control validation methodologies to scale seamlessly alongside rapidly growing global public sector obligation volumes.

  • 7+ years of progressive experience in compliance, government contract management, internal audit, or enterprise risk management.
  • Public Sector Expertise: Strong foundation in U.S. federal and public sector contracting compliance, including a working understanding of False Claims Act (FCA) risks.
  • Control Validation & Data Mastery: Proven background executing control validation methodologies and managing high-volume data sets.
  • Tooling Proficiency: Hands-on experience with eGRC/GRC platforms and risk controls software.
  • Stakeholder Management: Exceptional communication skills with a track record of driving cross-functional initiatives across Legal, Tech, Audit, and Sales leadership.

  • Direct experience leading global public sector programs (EMEA/JAPAC regulatory exposure).
  • Experience in software-as-a-service (SaaS) or hyper-scale cloud environments.
  • Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC), or Certified Compliance & Ethics Professional (CCEP).

At Salesforce, we believe in equitable compensation practices that reflect the dynamic nature of labor markets across various regions. The typical base salary range for this position is $117,400 - $177,600 annually. The range represents base salary only, and does not include company bonus, incentive for sales roles, equity or benefits, as applicable.
