Job summary

Jobtailor in the United States is seeking an experienced Inventory & Operations leader to drive strategic inventory management and sales support across field territories. You will partner with Field Sales Organizations to optimize par levels, reduce waste, and ensure timely deployment of new products.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
  • 7+ years in Logistics, Operations, Healthcare Management, or related fields with inventory management focus.
  • Proven cross-functional project leadership driving improvements and sales growth.
  • Strong analytical skills; proficient in Excel, Tableau, Qlik, or Power BI for data analysis and visualization.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills to engage diverse teams.
  • Experience with inventory management software and ERP systems, especially SAP.
  • Knowledge of healthcare regulations related to inventory and supply chain.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute inventory and operational strategies with Field Sales Organizations to drive growth.
  • Ensure inventory processes support accounts and field territories.
  • Analyze data to provide insights to FSO leadership for informed decisions.
  • Optimize inventory efficiency across US FSO leadership.
  • Oversee orthopedic consignment inventory and equipment, manage par levels, reduce waste.
  • Lead inventory rebalancing and allocation to meet demand.
  • Coordinate launch and deployment of new products to accounts.
  • Allocate resources to optimize uptake during introductions and launches.
  • Collaborate with FSO, Marketing, and Supply Chain to improve workflows.
  • Engage with external stakeholders to align operations with commercial strategies.
  • Mentor teams on protocols, inventory systems, and compliance.
  • Foster continuous improvement and knowledge sharing across departments.
  • Identify opportunities for operational enhancements and lead process improvements.
  • Establish and monitor KPIs related to inventory and efficiency.
  • Report progress to senior management and adapt strategies to market conditions.

Job description

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement comprehensive strategies in collaboration with Field Sales Organizations (FSO) to support sales growth objectives.
  • Ensure that all operational processes, particularly in inventory management, are effectively supporting the assigned accounts and field territories.
  • Analyze operational data to provide insights to FSO Leadership, ensuring informed decision-making.
  • Utilize data-driven approaches to enhance inventory efficiency and address analytical needs across the US FSO leadership.
  • Oversee the management of orthopedic consignment inventory and equipment, ensuring optimal par levels while minimizing waste and excess.
  • Lead inventory rebalancing and allocation strategies to efficiently meet the demands of the business.
  • Coordinate the launch of new products and their deployment to assigned accounts.
  • Ensure proper resource allocation and support throughout the introduction phase to optimize uptake and sales.
  • Partner with various departments, including FSO, Marketing, and Supply Chain, to enhance workflow and efficiency.
  • Work with external stakeholders to align operational activities with commercial strategies.
  • Mentor and train team members on operational protocols, inventory management systems, and compliance standards.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing across departments.
  • Identify opportunities for operational enhancements, implement best practices in inventory management, and lead process improvement projects that drive efficiency and effectiveness across the organization.
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to inventory and operational efficiency.
  • Regularly report on progress and outcomes to senior management.
  • Proactively identify and report on market trends that could impact inventory management and FSO operations.
  • Adapt strategies to meet changing market conditions and customer needs.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree required; Masters degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in Logistics, Operations, Healthcare Management, or related fields, with a focus on inventory management and sales support.
  • Proven track record of leading cross-functional projects that drive operational improvements and sales growth.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience using advanced Excel, Tableau, Qlik, or Power BI for data analysis and visualization.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and engage diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Experience with inventory management software and ERP systems, particularly SAP.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare regulations and standards related to inventory management and supply chain processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in fast-paced environments while managing multiple priorities and projects.
  • Experience in the Medical Device industry.
