Job summary

Messer seeks a seasoned Supply Chain Planner to bridge the supply team with field sales, ensuring demand alignment and low delivered costs across the U.S. and Canada. You will drive tactical and strategic supply chain planning for CO2 products and identify cost-saving opportunities.

You will analyze outages costs, coordinate with scheduling and procurement, and support annual budgets with reliable forecasts and cost analyses. Strong collaboration skills are essential.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required in logistics, supply chain management, business or related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in industrial gases or related process industry with supply chain management.
  • Strong proficiency in SAP and MS Office with excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as primary liaison between Supply team and field sales to align demand and network configuration.
  • Provide analysis for product availability and costing for new business opportunities and investments.
  • Support cost recovery policy decisions with strategic product management and markets.

Job description

This role serves as the primary liaison between the Supply team and fieldSales organizations, ensuring seamless alignment between current and future demand while preparing the supply network to meet these needs at the lowest overall delivered cost. The positionis responsible fortactical and operationalSupplyChainPlanning and network optimization for bulk CO2 products across the U.S. and Canada. Additionally, the roleidentifiesand evaluates long-term projects and opportunities to drive cost savings, productivity, and efficiency improvements within the CO2 supply chain. It alsoprovidescriticalSupplyChain insights to support strategic growth initiatives.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Provide CO2 outage ( d i s l ocation ) costs dur i ng major outages / force majeure events for costrecove ry po l ic y de fi ned b y Strategic Product M anagement and M ar k ets
  • Ass i gns p l ant product i on rates and i nvento ry targets incollaboration w ith fie l d operationsandEnerg y Procurement teamto minim i ze overall product costs . T hisincludes da y -of p l ant turndo w ns / shutdo wntomeet po w erreduction ob l igations andminim i ze / avoidpea k po w ercosts .

  • E x ecute suppl y rev i e w s w ith fie l d personnel and devise operational plans for Sales and Operations Planning. Sets transport resource levels required to fulfil plan while minimizing assets and costs.
