Job summary

SQRL seeks a Data Operations Manager to lead a team of 5–10 handling clinical trial data across EDC platforms and CDMS. You will supervise data-entry activities, ensure data quality, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet study timelines.

You will partner with CRCs, clinical leadership, sponsors and CRAs, ensuring data accuracy, rapid query resolution, and adherence to GCP/HIPAA and study requirements in a fast-growing site network.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in clinical data management with supervisory experience.
• Experience with EDC platforms and EMRs.
• Knowledge of GCP, HIPAA and regulatory requirements.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred.

POSITION

Our client is seeking a Data Entry Manager to lead the team responsible for entering, maintaining, and reviewing clinical trial and patient data across Electronic Data Capture (EDC) platforms and clinical data management systems.

This individual will oversee day-to-day team performance while also serving as a technical and operational resource for more complex data issues. The position will partner closely with Clinical Research Coordinators, clinical leadership, sponsors, and CRAs to ensure accurate data entry, timely query resolution, and adherence to study timelines and regulatory requirements.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead, schedule, coach, and develop a team of approximately 5–10 employees responsible for clinical research data entry and related activities
• Oversee accurate and timely entry of clinical trial data into CRFs, EDC platforms, and clinical data management systems
• Manage escalated data discrepancies, missing information, open queries, and other complex data or process issues
• Partner with CRCs, clinical leaders, sponsors, and CRAs to support data-cleaning timelines, monitor visits, interim analyses, and data cuts
• Develop and improve workflows, quality-control processes, training programs, policies, and team performance standards
• Track staffing, productivity, quality, and operational issues and provide updates and recommendations to senior leadership

QUALIFICATIONS

• 5+ years of relevant clinical, healthcare, or medical data management experience, including at least 2 years of supervisory or people-management experience
• Strong experience working with EDC platforms, EMRs, clinical data management systems, and clinical research documentation
• Working knowledge of Good Clinical Practice (GCP), HIPAA requirements, medical terminology, and clinical research processes
• Proven ability to lead teams, hold employees accountable, coach performance, and improve operational processes
• Strong understanding of clinical data quality, source documentation, CRFs/eCRFs, query management, and data reconciliation
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred; equivalent relevant experience may be considered
