Georgia Department of Human Services in Decatur, GA seeks a Manager, Child Support Services to lead program operations, analyze outcomes, and ensure compliance across the unit.

The role supervises staff, develops budgets, and collaborates with county DFCS, community partners, and state agencies to improve services and outcomes for families.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field; two years of subordinate supervisory experience in a human service delivery program.
  • Or two years at SST064 supervisory level or four years at SST062; or three years at SST063.

Responsibilities

  • Analyzes and assesses the effectiveness of existing programs to ensure outcome measures are achieved.
  • Assures agency compliance with policies, documentation, and reporting requirements.
  • Builds a cooperative, team-oriented environment within units and with other agencies.

The DHS’ Division of Child Support Services (DCSS) is seeking candidates to fill the position of Manager, Child Support Services, this position will report to the Regional Director. This position is located in Decatur, GA (Dekalb County).

Role and Responsibilities
  • Analyzes and assesses the effectiveness of existing programs to ensure the identified outcome measures are achieved.
  • Assures agency compliance with policies, appropriate documentation, and reporting requirements.
  • Builds and encourages a cooperative team-oriented environment within unit(s) and with other agencies and providers.
  • Creates and maintains positive working relationships within the community and on the county DFCS Board.
  • Develop and administer budgets.
  • Facilitates communication within the unit(s)/agency on a specific case level as well as on a procedure/policy level.
  • Interviews, hires, directs, trains, evaluate the performance of, and when necessary, disciplines and discharges social services employees.
  • Leads and administers a comprehensive system of public assistance, employability, and social services.
  • Manages human resources and directs administrative activities for groups of social services employees.
  • Plans, administers, and maintains the operation of social service programs.
  • Reviews new and current programs to determine their efficiency, effectiveness, and compliance with state, local and federal regulations.
  • Performs other professional responsibilities as assigned.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a related area from an accredited college or university and two (2) years of subordinate supervisory experience in a human service delivery program or related program -or- Two (2) years of experience at the lower-level Child Support Services Supervisor (SST064) or position equivalent; -or- Four (4) years of experience at the lower-level Child Support Services Agent 3 (SST062); -or- Three (3) years of experience at the lower-level Child Support Services Agent 4 (SST063).
