Job summary

Knapp Medical Center in Weslaco, TX, is seeking a cardiovascular nursing leader to oversee the Cardiovascular Laboratory. You will evaluate staff performance, set goals and procedures, and participate in performance-improvement initiatives.

Requirements include an active RN license, BLS, ACLS, and at least two years of supervisory experience, plus BSN. Two years of CCN or CV Lab background and proficiency in EKG interpretation are essential.

Qualifications

• Must have a current and valid state RN license.
• BLS (AHA) certification on hire and maintained.
• A minimum of two years supervisory/management experience.
• BSN degree required for all hires after 1/11/2021.
• ACLS (AHA) certification on hire and maintained.
• Five years of Coronary Care Nursing or Cardiovascular Lab experience.
• Basic computer knowledge.
• Proficient in interpreting EKGs and hemodynamic tracings.
• Operates Cardiovascular Lab equipment including pressure injectors and monitors.

Responsibilities

• The manager evaluates the activities of the Cardiovascular Laboratory employees to ensure quality patient care.
• Develops goals, policies and procedures.

• 5. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) (AHA) upon hire and maintain current.
• 6. Five (5) years of Coronary Care Nursing and/or the Cardiovascular Lab experience.
• 7. Basic computer knowledge.
• 8. Proficient in interpreting EKGs and hemodynamic pressure tracings.
• 9. Operates Cardiovascular Laboratory equipment; pressure injectors, hemodynamic monitor, cardiac output computer, etc.
