Job summary

UAB Medicine is seeking a finance professional to manage day-to-day financial operations across divisional areas. You will provide detailed analyses and projections to senior management, implementing policies to enhance profitability and aligning with financial accounting systems.

The role supports data interpretation for billing, cost accounting, and financial reporting, requiring strong budgeting, forecasting, and communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources
• Knowledge of economic and accounting principles
• Knowledge of practices and the analysis and reporting of financial data
• Judgment and decision-making skills in considering the relative costs and benefits of potential actions to choose the most appropriate one
• Skills in negotiating and presenting data and statistics
• Ideal candidate will possess: Healthcare Finance or Accounting experience
• Ideal candidate will possess: Masters in Business, Hospital Administration, or related field
• Ideal candidate will possess: Data analytics experience
• Ideal candidate will possess: Excellent written & verbal communication
• Ideal candidate will possess: Pharmacy experience a huge plus

Shifts: full-time AM and PM
