Job summary

Centene Corporation is seeking a Manager, Business Insights to lead workforce capacity planning and staffing forecast initiatives across markets and lines of business. You will develop staffing models from historical volume, membership projections, productivity, and processing times to determine workforce needs.

You will translate complex data into clear staffing and financial recommendations for senior leaders and influence workforce decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, IT, analytics, or related field.
• ~4+ years in analytics, IT, or business roles.
• Experience in technology product ownership, development, deployment, and user adoption preferred.
• Working knowledge of analytics tools (PowerBI, Tableau, Alteryx, SAS) preferred.

Job description

Position Purpose: The Manager, Business Insights leads workforce capacity planning and staffing forecast initiatives that support operational performance and enterprise objectives. This role develops and manages staffing models using historical volume, membership forecasts, productivity, processing times, and other operational data to determine workforce needs across markets and lines of business. The Manager partners with business leaders to translate complex data into clear staffing and financial recommendations, influence workforce decisions, and help ensure teams are appropriately staffed to meet business and regulatory requirements. This individual works across Analytics, Finance, Strategy, Information Technology, and operational business areas. Sponsorship and future sponsorship are not available for this opportunity, including employment-based visa types H-1B, L-1, O-1, H-1B1, F-1, J-1, OPT, or CPT.

Workforce capacity planning, workforce modeling, or staffing forecast experience is highly preferred.

Advanced Excel skills are highly preferred. Experience using Power BI as a data source and SQL to connect or integrate data with Excel is highly desirable.

Strong analytical judgment and critical thinking are strongly preferred, including the ability to translate complex data into clear staffing and financial recommendations.

Lead the planning and execution of enterprise-wide analytics projects and strategic initiatives, including workforce capacity planning and staffing forecast initiatives, translating business goals into actionable solutions.

Partner cross-functionally at all levels of the organization and communicate findings and insights to non-technical business partners.

Independently engage with business leaders to understand market-specific business needs, evaluate staffing and capacity requirements, and align analytic capabilities with strategic objectives.

Facilitate cross-team project collaboration between state-based health plans and business units.

Research key business problems and proactively identify potential enterprise solutions.

Provide product ownership support for deployment and adoption of analytic tools and technology.

Support analytics organizational performance management by monitoring SLAs, customer satisfaction, staffing trends, and workforce capacity indicators.

Bachelor's degree in business, computer science or IT, healthcare administration, statistics, or related field.

~4+ years of experience in general business, analytics or IT. Experience in technology product ownership, development, deployment, and user adoption preferred.

~ Working knowledge of analytical tools, including PowerBI, Tableau, Alteryx, SAS, or related tools preferred.

~ Experience in organizational performance management, continuous improvement and customer feedback mechanisms, or change management preferred.

~ Experience in communication and change management, learning and development, or human resources preferred.
