Job summary

KBF is seeking a Manager for the Audit & Advisory Services team in the US. The role involves leading day-to-day audit activities, client relationship management, and coaching junior staff in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

The candidate must have a CPA or EA, at least 5 years in public accounting, and strong knowledge of US GAAP. Hybrid work from Lake Oswego, OR; San Diego, CA; or Irvine, CA is supported.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university.
  • Licensed CPA or Enrolled Agent in home state.
  • Minimum of 5 years in public accounting or equivalent.
  • Technical proficiency in US GAAP and financial reporting.
  • Strong communication, professionalism, and teamwork.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.

Responsibilities

  • Execute the day-to-day activities of audit engagements and support the execution of a high-quality audit.
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships and ensure efficient information flow to the audit team.
  • Proactively manage project deadlines to meet client expectations and deadlines.
  • Help develop and supervise Audit teams by coaching and reviewing audit documentation.
  • Openly communicate with partners and teams about status, timeline, issues, and budgets.
  • Stay current on changes within the profession and business environment.
  • Build client relationships and demonstrate understanding of client’s business.
  • Be actively involved in recruitment, development, training, and retention.
  • Contribute to overall success by understanding KBF methodologies and tools.

Responsibilities
  • Execute the day-to-day activities of audit engagements and support the execution of a high-quality audit

  • Be actively involved in and a positive influence on team recruiting, development, training, and retention
  • Contribute to the overall success of the team by developing a thorough understanding of KBF methodologies and tools to enhance service delivery
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university & licensed CPA or Enrolled Agent in their home office state
  • Minimum of 5 years of public accounting or equivalent experience and have obtained the title “Manager” or equivalent designation
  • Exhibited technical proficiency in U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and financial reporting
  • Motivated and quick learner, with strong communications skills and demonstrated professionalism
  • Ability to work both independently and as a part of a team
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products
  • Eligible to work in the US
  • Based near Portland, OR; San Diego, CA; or Irvine, CA
This candidate must be able to work a hybrid schedule in one of the following office locations: Lake Oswego, OR | San Diego or Irvine, CA

The salary range for this position reflects various factors that influence compensation decisions, such as skills, experience, training, certifications, licensure, geographic location, and other organizational requirements. At KBF Advisory, it is uncommon for a candidate to be hired at the high end of the salary range, as compensation is based on the unique qualifications and circumstances of each individual. The estimated current salary range for this role is $120,000 - $140,000.
