Job Description

The Manager of Asset Protection (AP) is responsible for supervising Asset Protection teams in the store. This includes recruiting, development, performance oversight, and budgeting. The role involves executing the company's shrinkage reduction strategy, ensuring safety and security of employees, preventing theft, and supporting store profitability. The AP Manager partners with cross-functional store leaders to support retail asset protection initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and execute the organizational strategy set by the AP Division.
• Develop strong relationships within the store, including with the Store Manager, Service Experience, Inventory Accuracy, and Human Resources, focusing on shrink impact.
• Ensure building security and safety, educate staff on emergency preparedness, and assist during safety incidents.
• Monitor and report all AP incidents accurately.
• Use data to identify trends and mitigate theft and dishonesty.
• Implement shrink reduction plans and detect theft issues.
• Hire and develop talent skilled in investigations, auditing, and AP awareness programs.
• Leverage reporting data to identify risks and reduce losses.

Qualifications

• Experience in investigative, asset protection, and security procedures, with prior AP leadership roles.
• Knowledge of Exception Based Reporting tools and Case Management Software.
• Ability to build and maintain relationships with colleagues and leaders.
