Job summary

The Oklahoma State University - College of Osteopathic Medicine, Cherokee Nation (OSU-COMCN) seeks an Anatomy Lab Manager to oversee the Gross Anatomy and Neuroanatomy Laboratories and to maintain the Body Donor Program cadaver specimens. The role reports to the OSU-CHS Professor/Associate Dean of Academic Affairs in Tulsa, OK.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's degree (Master's preferred), is comfortable with embalmed cadavers, and demonstrates strong safety, teamwork, and communication

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required or conferred by start date.
• Experience with human cadavers and cadaveric materials preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage the Gross Anatomy and Neuroanatomy Laboratories.
• Maintain cadaveric specimens for OSU-COM Body Donor Program.
• Work under the OSU-CHS Professor/Associate Dean of Academic Affairs.

About this Position

The Oklahoma State University - College of Osteopathic Medicine, Cherokee Nation (OSU-COMCN), isseekingenthusiastic and experienced candidates for the position of Anatomy LabManager. The successful candidate will manage the Gross Anatomy and Neuroanatomy Laboratories,as well as,maintainthe cadaveric specimens of the OSU-COM Body Donor Program’s housed at the OSU-COMCN. The Anatomy LabManagerwill work under the direction of the OSU-CHSProfessor/Associate Dean of Academic Affairs(OSU-Center for Health Sciences, Tulsa, OK).

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's (degree must be conferred on or before agreed upon start date)
• Previousexperience with human cadavers and human cadaveric materials.

Skills, Proficiencies, and/or Knowledge:

• Must be comfortable around embalmed cadavers and the dissection process.
• Position requires deep knowledge and understanding of laboratory safety protocols and the responsible conduct of good clinical and laboratory practices.
• Position requires professionalism, diplomacy, ahighly-developeddegree of judgment,initiativeand the ability to work independently.
• Ability to work in a team-oriented environment with the interpersonal skills necessary to relate to a wide range of individuals and to work on multiple projects with minimal supervision in a time sensitive environment.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills. Strong teaming, communication, organizational and interpersonal skills are essential, as are analytical ability, problem-solving skills, and ability to attend to detail.
