Job summary

Audible, Inc. in Newark, NJ is seeking a Manager, Analytics to lead BI analyses and build dashboards that guide marketing strategy. You will translate data into actionable insights, partner with senior marketing leaders, and manage a portfolio of intelligence assets across the organization.

The role requires a Master’s degree in analytics or related field and at least 1 year of analytics/BI experience, with strong SQL, Tableau, and Python/R skills. Telecommuting from home is allowed.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in analytics, statistics, BI, mathematics, CS, or related field is required.
  • At least 1 year of experience in analytics management, BI engineering, or related role with analytics/data science exposure.
  • Experience using SQL to extract/merge data, working with Tableau or similar, and performing technical project management.
  • Proficiency in Python or R for statistical modeling; setup and analysis of large-scale A/B tests; familiarity with AWS tools including SageMaker.

Responsibilities

  • Develop dashboards, one-off reports and presentations across the business.
  • Translate customer behavior data into agile, insightful analytics for marketing actions and long-term strategy.
  • Partner with stakeholders as a strategic BI lead, delivering end-to-end analyses and democratizing results.
  • Build dashboards/scorecards to enable leaders to act on data and iterate marketing tactics.
  • Manage a portfolio of competitive intelligence assets across stakeholder groups and continuously enhance them.
  • Analyze A/B tests, recommend actions, and generate hypotheses for ongoing testing.
  • Support reporting on incremental impact of major promotions and campaigns.
  • Develop Amazon-scale data pipelines using AWS and contribute to Audible Insights Org growth.
  • Position reports in Newark, NJ while allowing telecommuting from home office.

Duties: Leverage datasets from across the company and utilize analytics skills (including SQL, Excel, and Tableau) to produce critical dashboards, one-off reports, and presentations. Responsible for translating data capturing customer behavior into agile, insightful analytics that are communicated clearly and effectively, and lead to optimal marketing actions and long-term strategies. Partner with stakeholders as a strategic collaborator by owning business intelligence analyses end-to-end, providing stakeholders with timely, relevant insights, scenarios and recommendations, and democratizing results via internal intelligence platforms for long-term use. Produce tangible, actionable insights and work with senior marketing leaders to guide the marketing roadmap and business strategy. Build dashboards and scorecards that enable leaders to understand and act upon data to create and iterate on various marketing tactics. Manage a portfolio of highly consumable competitive intelligence assets (e.g., dashboards, papers, presentations, datasets) that can be used strategically across stakeholder and analyst groups and find opportunities to enhance that portfolio based on stakeholder needs and feedback. Analyze A/B tests across Amazon and Audible surfaces, provide recommendations based on testing results, and deep-dive into results to develop new hypotheses for continuous testing-and-learning. Support reporting on the incremental impact of marketing tactics including major marquee promotions, launches, and ongoing campaigns. Develop Amazon-scale data pipelines using AWS. Contribute to the growth of the Audible Insights Org by sharing and developing ideas and learning from others. Position reports into Newark, NJ office; however, telecommuting from a home office is allowed.

Salary: $109,500 - $185,000 / year. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits. Basic Qualifications

Requirements: Requires a Master’s degree in Analytics, Statistics, Business Intelligence, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a directly related field plus one (1) year of experience as an Analytics Manager, Business Intelligence Engineer, or a related occupation involving experience in business intelligence, analytics, data science, or technical project management.

Experience may be gained concurrently and must include one (1) year of experience in the following:

  • Utilizing SQL to extract and merge data from varied sources, produce analyses, and manipulate databases
  • Tableau or similar visualization software
  • Technical project management in the areas of analytics, data science, or data engineering
  • Advanced Excel
  • Programming in Python or R to model data using advanced statistical methods
  • Setup and analysis of large-scale A/B tests (user-based or geo-based)
  • AWS tools including Amazon SageMaker
