Our services include air and ocean freight forwarding, contract logistics, customs brokerage, distribution, inbound logistics, truckload brokerage and other supply chain management services, including consulting, the coordination of purchase orders and customized management services.
The Manager of Air Freight Emergency Solution is responsible for managing the team and support the business and sales verticals in all aspects of the Emergency Solution desk. The primary objective of this position is to manage the requirements and service agreements with our Global Core providers, supervise Emergency Solution operations, and support the sales force with product knowledge and pricing. This position will work together with the World Air Freight Team to lead strategic development. This position is to provide a new Air Freight product specific to the needs of our customers for Emergency shipment request, develop customized products, deliver the best solution and pricing, and negotiate rates with carrier.
While the primary focus is on our Global Verticals: Automotive, Aerospace, Pharma and Healthcare and Energy Solutions from the product side, the secondary focus will be managing and train the regional teams and our 3rd party provider.
100% performed in climate-controlled internal office environment working under normal office conditions. This role supports a 24/7 operational environment and requires on call support. Occasional travel will be required (up to 10%) in support of the position's responsibilities. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, use hands and fingers to feel and handle, reach with arms and hands, talk and hear. While performing the duties of this job the employee frequently is required to stop, kneel and crouch, lift weight or exert a force up to a maximum of 25 pounds. This position requires employees to frequently work in a fluid, fast paced environment.
