Job summary

The Estée Lauder Companies Inc. seeks a senior Data Platform Administrator to lead the enterprise data platform for sustainability and social impact data. You will configure, manage, and optimize data collection across brands, regions, and functions to support strategic planning and reporting.

You will onboard users, implement governance, and create dashboards/reports for stakeholders. Strong SQL, Python, and cloud skills (GCP/Databricks) are essential, with Looker/Power BI experience a plus.

Qualifications

• 5+ years data management and analytics experience in sustainability/corporate responsibility or similar private sector role.
• 3+ years in project management or data-platform administration (Sphera Cloud Corporate Sustainability preferred): user roles, data collection forms, dashboards, reports, analyses.
• Strong technical skills in SQL, Python, GCP, Databricks.
• Experience with Looker and Power BI for data visualization is a plus.
• Able to work across cross-functional teams in a matrixed environment.
• Creative, resourceful, and able to deliver with limited resources.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Description

This role will lead the administration, configuration, management, and implementation of the enterprise⁃wide Data Platform. This includes the configuration, collection, and analysis of social impact and sustainability data from across brands, regions, and functions to support strategic planning, goals tracking and internal/ external reporting.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as lead systems administrator of ELC's Data Platform
• Systems management/ maintenance
• Perform regular administrative maintenance of the Data Platform
• Onboard and train new users
• Support establishment and oversee ongoing governance of the platform
• Collaborate with team members to implement controls enhancements
• Identify and implement enhancements to optimize platform functionality
• Create and update system configuration to facilitate data collection for newly established goals, programs, or workstreams
• Collaborate closely with data owners in the brands, regions and functions to establish robust data collection functionality and data verification/ assurance capabilities
• Perform analyses and create dashboards and reports based on requests from SMEs, brands, regions, and functions
• Develop a strategic view for how the Data Platform can be leveraged and evolved over time to deliver more value across the organization
• Work with relevant in⁃scope areas on project planning, and agree on timeline and specific outcomes
• Support internal and external reporting and disclosure
• Contribute to the annual data collection and verification process for ELC's enterprise Report
• Contribute to data collection for internal quarterly reporting on progress towards digital Goals
  

Qualifications

• 5+ years data management and analytics experience working within a sustainability/ corporate responsibility department or similar role in the private sector
• 3+ experience in project management and / or serving as an administrator for data platforms and / or software systems (Sphera Cloud Corporate Sustainability preferred), for example: including assigning user roles, building data collection forms and dashboards, generating reports, and conducting analyses
• Very strong technical skills in SQL, Python, GCP, Databricks
• Experience with Looker, Power BI, and data visualization is a plus
• Highly organized, detail⁃oriented, and analytical, can synthesize information and offer recommendations/ solutions
• Able to work across cross⁃functional teams, high level of comfort within a matrixed environment
• Creative & resourceful, can operate with limited resources and find innovative solutions to deliver on business needs
• Works quickly and efficiently with a consultant mindset, anticipates and meets deadlines
