Job description

Title

Manager (equivalent to Vice President role)

Responsibilities
  • Execute and lead Accounting & Reporting Advisory engagements with responsibility for research, preparation of client deliverables.
  • Prepare and review account reconciliations and support communication with client, identifying issues, resolving discrepancies, and escalating matters.
  • Review and analyze complex contracts, conduct and support technical accounting research, and document conclusions per guidance.
  • Contribute to the review of accounting memoranda and policies, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and alignment with accounting standards.
  • Partner with clients ranging from early stage to large publicly traded organizations in an industry‑agnostic environment.
  • Prepare account reconciliations and vendor communications.
  • Perform technical accounting research for complex contracts.
  • Prepare accounting memoranda and policies.
  • Determine appropriate journal entries and operational accounting matters.
  • Prepare financial statements, footnotes, and disclosures.
  • Research SEC filing requirements and prepare supporting schedules.
  • Serve as post‑acquisition integration SME and demonstrate familiarity with standard IMO practices.
  • Serve as technical accounting SME for the firm’s valuation practice, providing ad‑hoc research and support.
  • Oversee day‑to‑day accounting operations for clients, including accounts payable and receivable, payroll processing, and journal entries.
  • Participate in business development, client pursuits, and proposals.
  • Identify areas to scale efficiencies and new ways of working across projects.
  • Interact with finance‑focused ERP systems such as NetSuite, Sage Intacct, SAP, Oracle.
  • Leverage AI‑enabled tools and emerging technologies to enhance research, streamline deliverables, and improve efficiency.
Qualifications
  • Broad knowledge of US GAAP, including purchase accounting, derivatives, complex debt and equity securities, stock‑based compensation, revenue recognition, and lease accounting.
  • Experience with financial statement preparation and interpreting complex accounting standards.
  • Deep experience with M&A transactions, especially post‑acquisition integration.
  • AICPA and PCAOB‑level audit readiness preferred.
  • Experience presenting to c‑suite and executive tiers.
  • Entrepreneurial and client‑service focused mindset.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multi‑task.
  • Relationship‑focused and positive, enthusiastic attitude.
  • Strong technical and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency with QuickBooks, Xero, Bill.com, Expensify, and interest in AI tools.
  • Education: Bachelor of Finance or Accounting.
  • 5+ years of finance process and/or transformation experience.
  • Service line experience in manufacturing, CPG, healthcare, or financial services.
  • Combination of audit and advisory experience; CPA preferred.
Compensation & Benefits
  • Compensation range: $87,000.00 - $195,000.00.
