Responsibilities:
As a high-growth, boutique consulting firm, Pathstone offers a unique opportunity for managers to play a significant role in leading client engagements and internal development initiatives. Below is a list of representative responsibilities for each area:
Client Engagements:
- Lead overall delivery of client engagements to achieve/exceed goals and objectives
- Manage client expectations and align team activities with key goals and objectives
- Oversees day-to-day client engagement operations and activities of junior team members
- Build and cultivate strong partnerships with key client stakeholders at all levels of the organization (C-Suite, VP, Directors, Managers, Front-Line Staff)
- Conduct ongoing review of internal resources and bandwidth
- Conduct quality assurance review of key client deliverables generated by team members
- Lead and oversee analysis of complex data sets to generate insights and opportunities
- Lead and oversee development of informative, insightful business cases and presentations to clients
- Lead and oversee identification of strategies and recommendations to achieve value
- Coach, mentor and support associates and senior associates in client engagements
- Monitor ongoing progress, and address client or internal issues and roadblocks
- Support project management efforts for client engagements
Internal Development:
- Coach and invest in associates and senior associates to support their professional growth
- Supports firm-wide strategic projects to drive company growth, facilitate exceptional client delivery, and improve internal firm operations and processes
- Oversees internal operational workstreams led by junior team members
- Support sales, business and market development activities
- Lead and support recruitment, hiring, onboarding, and intellectual property/knowledge repository development initiatives
- Participate in team building activities and events (expected to attend quarterly events in person)
- Prior experience leading non-labor cost reduction or performance improvement engagements for hospitals and health systems. Hands-on exposure to one or more supply chain categories — medical/surgical, pharmacy, capital equipment, purchased services, or logistics — required. GPO contract optimization, value analysis, or supply chain technology experience a plus.
- 4 - 6+ years of prior work experience (Management consulting experience required)
- Bachelor's degree required; MBA, MHA, or MPH strongly preferred. Candidates with equivalent consulting experience and demonstrated progression may be considered in lieu of an advanced degrees

- Total compensation: $140K - $180K (base salary plus annual performance-based bonus)
