  • Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
  • A valid driver’s license and forklift certificate may be required for this position.
  • Bilingual skills are a plus.

  • Supervisory responsibilities, in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws, include planning, assigning, and directing work, addressing complaints and resolving problems.
  • Trainee will enthusiastically pursue, and be flexible to, learning and experience in multiple areas such as flock service; vaccination programs; molting programs; feeding programs; house maintenance; pest control programs; egg grading and packing; warehousing and shipping; sanitation procedures; preventive maintenance; inventory control, procurement, and record-keeping.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Management Trainee Position

The Management Trainee position is an entry-level supervisory position through which the Trainee will focus on development of managerial and professional skills at a commercial layer facility, and contingent on specific interests, may receive alternating assignments in the layer and pullet houses, processing plant, egg grading, packing, warehousing, shipping, or feed mill. Teamwork and customer service skills are vitally important as the Trainee works directly and indirectly with employees, supervisors, and managers.

Salary Range
