Dayton Freight Lines, Inc. is seeking recent graduates for its Management Trainee Program, a 24-week hands-on opportunity to learn our operations, culture, and transportation industry while building leadership skills.

Participants will rotate through 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts, relocate to service centers as needed, and graduate prepared for a management role. Starting pay is $62,500 with a comprehensive benefits package.

Overview

The Management Trainee Program is geared toward recently graduated or soon-to-be graduating seniors. This 24-week, hands-on job experience offers the opportunity for each Trainee to become part of a team, expand upon their experience, actively participate in all areas of Dayton Freight's operations, as well as gain knowledge of our Company, culture, and the Transportation Industry. Additionally, the program educates each individual on future-based leadership skills so that upon completion of the 24-weeks, they are confident and competent to take on a management position within our Company.

Starting Pay: $62,500 per year. This amount reflects total compensation (base + bonus). Pay does vary depending on relevant industry experience.

Physical Demands

This position requires the ability to perform a combination of administrative and operational duties in an office and dock environment. Duties may include standing and walking for extended periods, pushing or pulling equipment, operating material-handling equipment, and occasionally assisting with physical dock tasks such as handling freight and related materials.
