Job summary

CDM Smith Inc. in Washington DC seeks a diligent analyst to support client projects with operations improvement, HR, and organization design studies. The role involves collecting data, cleaning inputs, and preparing sections of management consulting reports under supervision.

You will coordinate with clients, track project status, and perform administrative tasks while applying strong governance, finance and supply chain knowledge to deliver actionable insights across diverse engagements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree. 3 years of related experience.

Responsibilities

• Under light supervision, performs basic to moderately complex consulting analyses to support client business needs.
• Collects client, industry relevant, and other related market data to support consulting analyses.
• Cleans and inputs data into applicable analysis tools.
• Escalates issues as necessary.
• Under light supervision, prepares basic to moderately complex sections of management consulting reports.
• Under direct supervision, contacts clients to collect or review initial datasets.
• Provides basic project status updates to clients, as required.
• Performs basic administrative activities such as organizing meetings, writing correspondence and organizing contract and project related materials.

Job Description

• Under light supervision, performs basic to moderately complex consulting analyses (e.g., operations improvement, human resources, organizational design, etc.) to support client business needs.
• Collects client, industry relevant, and other related market data to support consulting analyses.
• Cleans and inputs data into applicable analysis tools.
• Ensures accuracy of entered data and consults primary sources to clarify any issues or discrepancies, as necessary.
• Escalates issues as necessary.
• Under light supervision, prepares basic to moderately complex sections of management consulting reports.
• Under direct supervision, contacts clients to collect or review initial datasets.
• Provides basic project status updates to clients, as required.
• Performs other duties as required.
• Performs basic administrative activities such as organizing meetings, writing correspondence and organizing contract and project related materials.

Skills & Abilities

Solid knowledge of corporate governance practices, organization design principles, accounting principles, finance, supply chain management, and organization management. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Ability to understand complex technical, professional and business materials.

Bachelor's degree. 3 years of related experience. Domestic and/or international travel may be required. The frequency of travel is contingent on specific duties, responsibilities, and the essential functions of the position, which may vary depending on workload and project demands. Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.

Additional Pay Range Information

CDM Smith is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. This pay range is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels for the geographic location assigned to the position. In addition to geographic location, a candidate’s salary is determined by several other factors including, but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, relevant work experience, skills, required certifications, and education/training.

Additional Compensation

All bonuses at CDM Smith are discretionary and may or may not apply to this position.
