Job summary

AXIS Capital in Princeton, NJ, is seeking a Claims Specialist for Management Liability on the Wholesale Financial Lines team. You will investigate and evaluate Directors and Officers, Employment Practices Liability, and related claims, determine coverage decisions, and guide matters to a successful resolution with insureds, brokers, and external counsel.

The role requires a Juris Doctorate, strong litigation skills, and the ability to travel up to three days per week.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctorate required.
• Experience as a litigator or litigation manager preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills essential.
• Ability to write coverage letters independently with precision.

Responsibilities

• Investigate, analyze, and evaluate Management Liability claims (D&O, EPL, Private Equity, etc.).
• Determine coverage determinations and recommended settlement strategies.
• Coordinate with insureds, brokers, and external coverage attorneys as needed.
• Develop claims and litigation strategies and oversee external counsel.
