Job description

The Berkeley Partnership is an independently owned management consulting firm based in London and New York. For over 30 years, Berkeley has been doing things a little differently for both our clients and our people – working together to show how consulting should be. We work with large, high-profile clients, shaping and delivering complex and transformational change.

Who We're Looking For

We're looking for passionate, dedicated and talented consultants who thrive in a collaborative environment and are driven to deliver great results for our clients. We don’t recruit for functional expertise or industry specialism but for core consulting skills and adaptability. The work we do for our clients requires a combination of effective leadership, strategy and delivery expertise so we look to hire and develop consultants who want to grow by helping our clients tackle their most critical challenges, often by working as an integral part of our clients' leadership teams.

Our Culture

There’s a strong focus on personal and professional development with a Partner to Consultant ratio of 1:4. We don’t do hierarchy so there are just two levels, Partner and Consultant which fosters a unique collaborative culture across the whole firm.

We are a relationship-based business. Therefore, our consultants can expect to spend time on site with our clients and colleagues and actively contribute to our community. They should also be willing to work flexibly to meet the needs of our clients which may involve some travel. However, we do not anticipate our consultants working away from home consistently for long periods.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 6-10 years of consulting experience
  • Achieved "Manager" or "Senior Manager" level (or equivalent) at a top-tier consulting firm
  • Proven experience leading teams in significant workstreams, projects, or programs
  • Strong project/program management and consulting capabilities
  • Demonstrated ability to build trusted relationships with Fortune 500 clients
  • Skilled in communicating complex ideas persuasively, clearly, and concisely
  • Exposure to technology as a key component of project delivery
  • Collaborative mindset and ability to engage with diverse stakeholders
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher
  • Based within easy reach of our New York hub (Midtown Manhattan)
  • Authorized to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship now or in the future

Preferred experience

The following criteria are desirable but not required as The Berkeley Partnership will give you the opportunity to develop further in these areas:

  • Experience across the full project lifecycle, end-to-end from strategy to delivery
  • Understanding of how to leverage technology and digital assets to drive lasting business change, including leading workstreams aligned with the software development lifecycle (design, build, test, deploy)

Pay range and compensation package

  • Competitive base salary ($175,000 - $280,000 to start)
  • 401(k) employer match.
  • Medical and dental insurance for you and your family (no monthly premiums)
  • Fully paid parental leave (up to 22 weeks, available from day one)
  • Annual health and wellbeing benefit
  • Five discretionary volunteer days per year with our charity partners
  • Ongoing training and career development
  • Supportive, collegiate work environment
  • Regular, inclusive social events
  • Options for part-time working

Equal Opportunity Statement

The Berkeley Partnership is an equal opportunity employer. We aim to foster a warm, open culture of belonging that enables our people to fulfill their potential, no matter their background, ethnicity, sex, gender, sexuality, disability or working style.
