Job summary

Bowhead is seeking a Management Analyst for a newly awarded contract in Patuxent River, MD. The analyst will serve as the senior expert, developing and applying analytic methodologies and principles to improve efficiency and effectiveness across programs.

The role includes conducting organizational studies, evaluating processes, and guiding junior staff on analytic techniques, with a focus on NAVAIR program involvement and compliance with SECNAV/OSD policy.

Qualifications

• BS/BA required; AS/AA may substitute for BA with 4 additional years of experience.
• At least 4 years of analyst experience in a program management, technical, or business analysis discipline; 2 years supporting Navy/DoD programs.

Responsibilities

• Conduct organizational studies and evaluations; design systems and procedures; conduct work simplification and measurement studies; prepare operations and procedures manuals.
• Directs junior analysts or staff on analytical technique projects.
• Occasional direct support to NAVAIR-related programs and offices.

Overview

Bowhead is seeking a Management Analyst for a newly awarded contract in Patuxent River, MD. The Management Analyst will be the senior expert and must have extensive knowledge and experience developing and applying analytic methodologies and principles.

Responsibilities

• Conduct organizational studies and evaluations, design systems and procedures, conduct work simplification and measurement studies, and prepare operations and procedures manuals to assist management in operating more efficiently and effectively.
• Includes program analysts and management consultants.
• Directs the activities of more junior Analysts or other staff as necessary on activities related to the application of analytical techniques and methodologies.

Qualifications

• Education: BS or BA degree. An AS or AA degree and an additional 4 years of experience may be substituted for a BA/BS or an additional eight (8) years of experience may be substituted for a BA/BS.
• Experience: At least four (4) years of experience as an analyst in a program management, technical, or business analysis discipline; and included in the four (4) years, there must be two (2) years professional experience supporting NAVAIR programs or offices. Demonstrated knowledge of SECNAV, OPNAV and OSD policy and documentation related to management and operations of Department of Navy Systems Commands.

Physical Demands:

• Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds
• Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time
• Must be able to twist, bend and squat periodically

SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:

Must be able to obtain a security clearance at the Secret level. US Citizenship is a requirement for Secret clearance at this location.
