Job summary

Prime Healthcare is seeking a Billing Specialist to lead follow-up on managed care and commercial accounts. The role involves phone communications with health plans, ensuring productivity, and applying state collection guidelines when needed.

You will review managed care contracts and contribute to accurate billing processes. The ideal candidate has at least four years in hospital managed care or commercial collections, a bachelor’s degree or equivalent, and strong contract interpretation

Qualifications

• Minimum of four years hospital managed care/commercial collector experience.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience preferred.
• Knowledge of contract interpretation and hospital billing requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead timely follow-up of Managed Care/Commercial accounts.
• Communicate with health plans by phone.
• Maintain productivity standards and generate reports.
• Review state collection guidelines when applicable and review managed care contracts.
