Job summary

Norton Healthcare is seeking a Mammography Technologist to provide precise imaging of breast anatomy with a focus on patient comfort and safety in the Louisville area. You will apply expert positioning, imaging techniques, and quality control while communicating clearly with patients to ease anxiety.

Responsibilities include supervising students during patient care, adhering to radiation safety standards, infection control, and maintaining equipment.

Qualifications

• ARRT-R certification required; ARRT-M within 1 year of hire.
• RO license and ARRT-R required.
• ROT license and ARRT-R prior to expiration with ARRT-M within 1 year of hire.
• Desired: One year mammography.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate knowledge of anatomy, physiology and image quality.
• Communicate with patients, explain exam and relieve anxiety.
• Ensure patient positioning, imaging technique, radiation safety, imaging equipment, infection control and quality control techniques.
• Supervise students providing patient care during training.

Education

RO (State Radiography License) and ARRT-R and Must obtain ARRT-M within 1 year of hire

ROT (Temp State Radiography License) and Must obtain ARRT-R prior to ROT expiration and Must obtain ARRT-M within 1 year of hire
