Roslindale is seeking a Mammography Tech to support the Breast Imaging department. This part-time, per diem role involves performing mammography exams with a focus on patient care and accurate imaging.
The ideal candidate will hold MSRT/ARRT (M) certification, maintain state licensure, and demonstrate excellent communication with patients and staff. Two years of post-high school radiologic technology training and knowledge of mammography procedures are required.
Under general supervision of Manager of Breast Imaging, the Mammography technologist provides Mammographic technical skills to the Department mission. Duties are to work as technologist and duties in other areas and/or modalities as necessary. The Mammography technologist performs mammography exams for use of diagnosis and treatment of disease or injury to patients of all ages.
Requires knowledge of principles and procedures of diagnostic radiology and mammography and the operation and maintenance of Radiologic equipment to include mammography.
Generally acquired through the completion of two years post-high school training in an approved, school of Radiologic technology. MSRT/ARRT (M) required
The Mammographer requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills sufficient to interact effectively with patients and all/any apprehensions, to instruct students and to provide technical supervision to staff technologists. State Radiology/mammography license required and all applicable Radiology/ mammography education requirements.
