Ventura Services Florida is seeking a Mammography Technologist to operate and maintain diagnostic mammography equipment. You will perform exams, explain procedures to patients, and ensure safety and comfort throughout the process.

The role requires graduation from an accredited radiologic technology program with mammography certification, a Florida license, and BLS. Flexibility with shifts and potential cross-training may be part of the position.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited radiologic technology program with mammography certification/registration.
• Current Florida Radiologic Technologist license.
• BLS certification.
• Minimum of one year experience in mammography or radiology settings.

Responsabilités

• Perform mammography exams and verify orders.
• Explain procedures to patients and address questions and concerns.
• Help prepare and position patients for exams and handle any contrast preparation as applicable.
• Maintain a clean, safe mammography and radiology environment; report equipment malfunctions.
• Ensure patient consent is signed and verify allergy information when contrast is used.
• Maintain patient safety, comfort and dignity at all times.
• Conduct daily quality control using required equipment and participate in safety and infection control studies.
• Potentially work variable shifts or weekends and overtime as department needs.
• Cross-train in related areas if required.
