Job summary

Nebraska Medicine, Bellevue Medical Center, is seeking a Mammography Technologist to join our Radiology team on a part-time basis. You will provide high-quality mammography imaging and patient care in the radiology department, supporting diagnostic excellence.

The role requires JRCERT-accredited radiology training, ARRT mammography certification within one year, Nebraska licensure, BLS, and ongoing CEUs. On-call duties apply, with a $5,000 sign-on bonus for this position.

Qualifications

• Completion of a JRCERT accredited radiology program.
• Minimum 40 hours of mammography training.
• Minimum 5 CEUs per year for Mammography QA.
• ARRT mammography certification required within 1 year.
• Nebraska license to practice radiology.
• BLS certification from an AHA-endorsed program.

Mammography Technologist

Provide excellent diagnostic and mammography images and patient care to assure a high level of quality care and service to patients and customers in the radiology department.

Required Qualifications

• Completion of a Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT) accredited program in radiology required.
• Minimum of 40 hours of mammography training required.
• Minimum of five mammography continuing education units (CEUs) per year required to meet Mammography Quality Standards Assurance Act requirements.
• Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) required.
• State of Nebraska license required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification upon completion of unit orientation required, must be from an American Heart Association (AHA) endorsed program (effective for new hires starting January 1, 2023 or later).
• Mammography certification from ARRT required within one year of hire or transfer date required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Digital mammography training preferred.
• Ability to manage and interact with patients and families of all age groups preferred.
• Experience with multi-dimensional medical imaging systems, medication infusion pumps, vacuum pumps, oxygen bottle, patient transportation device, film processors, and quality control equipment preferred.
• Experience with radiology information system, mammography tracking system, and stereo-tatic breast preferred.
• Mammography certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) preferred.
