Job summary

Houston Methodist Mammography Technologist I performs mammograms, biopsies and bone density exams in accordance with MQSA and ACR standards. This role is a member of the direct patient care team and may assist with quality control activities.

The ideal candidate will hold ARRT credentials (Radiologic Technologist and Mammography) and Texas licensure, with BLS certification. No prior experience is required, and strong communication with patients and colleagues is essential.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an education program approved by the credentialing body for radiologic technologist.
• No prior experience required.
• ARRT-R Radiologic Technologist credential required.
• ARRT-M Mammography credential obtainable within 6 months.
• CMRT - Texas Licensure required.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Performs mammograms for diagnostic and screening purposes; conducts biopsies and bone density exams as applicable.
• Assists with quality control activities and follows MQSA and ACR standards.
• Communicates effectively with patients, physicians and staff to ensure high-quality care.
• Adheres to safety standards and maintains equipment and documentation accurately.
