Qualifications

Graduate of approved School of Radiological Technology.
Mammography state license.
Mammography Technologist Certification (ARRT).
Two (2) years of experience as a Mammographer.

Responsibilities

Identify patient and review requisitions for consistency with diagnosis and demographics.
Provide compassionate patient care and protect patient dignity.
Ensure technical quality of examinations and request additional views when needed.
Identify anatomical orientation on all images and ensure proper film identification.
Follow facility protocols for exams and produce quality studies efficiently.
Operate equipment competently and adjust controls per procedures.
Perform QA procedures per standards (ACR, MQSA, State, JACHO).
Organize patient care and set priorities with critical care focus.
Initiate variance reports by end of shift and address incomplete orders for proper charges.
Report equipment failures or safety hazards to supervisors immediately.
Deliver competent care to adult and geriatric patients.
