Job summary

Unified Mammography Services (UMAMS), a subsidiary of Unified Women’s Healthcare, seeks a Mammography Technologist for its Illinois centers, including Park Ridge, Vernon Hills, South Elgin, Chicago, and Hoffman Estates. The role performs 3D digital mammography to support in-office breast imaging within OBGYN practices.

The ideal candidate has an associate degree in Radiologic Sciences, ARRT registration and mammography certification, and strong English communication.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or completion of an accredited Radiologic Sciences Program.
• ARRT Registration (R.T.(R)) required.
• ARRT Certification in Mammography (M) required.
• State Department of Radiation Control License (if applicable).
• Minimum two years of mammography experience preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English as required by job duties.
• Role requires reading and writing in English to complete documentation, reports, and compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform mammography imaging and quality control procedures.
• Ensure proper functioning of mammography equipment and address malfunctions.
• Maintain meticulous attention to detail during all procedures.
• Communicate with radiologists regarding mammographic exams.

Unified Mammography Services (UMAMS)

Unified Mammography Services (UMAMS), a subsidiary of Unified Women’s Healthcare, is a comprehensive solution for in-office Breast Imaging services. We utilize top-of-the-line equipment and expert staff with exceptional standards of care. Embedded within our network of affiliated OBGYN provider practices, this offers patients an intimate and familiar in-office environment, offering a convenient one-stop solution for well-women visits and annual screening mammograms.

Position Overview

Unified Mammography Services is seeking a Mammography Technologist for its Mammography office at affiliated practices in Illinois. The Mammography Technologists will perform 3D digital mammography to assist in the diagnosis of disease in the OBGYN office. The ideal candidate must have good knowledge and understanding of mammography. Must be able to work independently without supervision and have excellent problem-solving skills. Ensures a high level of quality and service is delivered to all organizational customers.

Location: This position will float between our centers in Park Ridge, Vernon Hills, South Elgin, Chicago, and Hoffman Estates.

Work Schedule: This position is for 30 hours + a week.

Responsibilities

• Perform mammography imaging and quality control procedures.
• Ensure proper functioning of mammography equipment and address any malfunctions.
• Maintain meticulous attention to detail during all procedures.
• Communicate with radiologists regarding mammographic exams.
• Responsible for applying analytical skills to interpret mammographic images, assess quality, and verify patient information.
• Accurately complete all patient information requirements and necessary paperwork.
• Complete administrative tasks to ensure timely exam interpretation.
• Complete necessary medical records, including consents, billing, and supply monitoring.
• Ensure timely delivery of mammography results, escalating to management or a radiologist when results exceed standard turnaround times.
• Support the manager in maintaining MQSA and ACR requirements.
• Adhere to and maintain continuing education requirements mandated by MQSA.

Additional Job Functions

• All other job requests as assigned by the Mammography Operations Manager, Director of Imaging Operations, or Care Center Administrator.
