Job summary

Methodist Southwest Medical Center is seeking a Mammography Technologist to perform quality mammography procedures and assist Radiologists in special procedures for early breast cancer detection. You will work within a multidisciplinary imaging team to ensure high standards of patient care in a busy, diagnostic setting.

The role requires graduation from an approved Radiologic Technologist Program, ARRT certification (M) or ARRT (R) with plan to obtain (M) within 12 months, BLS, and Texas state

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an approved Radiologic Technologist Program and meet MQSA guidelines.
• Current Basic Life Support certification (BLS).
• Current ARRT (M) certification; ARRT (R) acceptable with plan to obtain ARRT (M) within 12 months of orientation.
• Texas Department of State Health certification.
• Experience: 1 year preferred; OR ARRT (R) with requirement to obtain ARRT (M) within 1 year of orientation.

In this highly technical allied imaging professional position, you'll collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide the very best imaging services, which include ultrasound, digital mammography, and nuclear medicine. The primary purpose of the Mammography Technologist position is to perform quality mammography procedures and assist Radiologist in special procedures for the purpose and early detection of breast abnormalities.

Your Job Requirements:
• Graduate of an approved Radiologic Technologist Program and meets the MQSA guidelines
• Current Basic Life Support certification
• Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists« certification - ARRT (M)
• Texas Department of State Health certification
• Work Experience: 1 year preferred
• Or ARRT (R); employee will be required to obtain ARRT (M) license within 1 year of completing orientation
