Job summary

UMass Memorial Health is seeking a Mammography Technologist on a per diem basis to perform Mam­mography exams and related clerical tasks. The role requires ARRT registration in Diagnostic Radiology and Mammography, and Massachusetts mammography licensure, with BLS prior to probation completion.

Schedule details include weekends with 8-hour shifts. Experience with HIS/RIS/PACS and PEN RAD systems is essential; prior field experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Registration in Diagnostic Radiology and Mammography by ARRT.
• Massachusetts license as a mammography technologist.
• BLS for healthcare providers required before completion of 90 day probation.

Responsibilities

• Operates Mammography equipment and performs exams with adjustments per patient size/condition.
• Records pertinent breast history and notes any discomfort or medical concerns for radiologist.
• Documents work accurately in HIS/RIS/PACS/PEN RAD systems.
• Assists in other areas/modality as needed.
• Cleans and maintains all accessory equipment.
