Requirements include ARRT licensure, RAML-Mammography, BLS, 3–5 years of experience, and proficiency with standard computer systems. A $20,000 sign-on bonus is offered.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• License American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) required.
• RAML-Mammography registration required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• 3–5 years related work experience required.
• New hires have 30 days to provide BLS certification.
• Certification with American Heart Association (AHA) required.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple tasks.
• Experience with computer systems including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint or Access.

Responsibilities

• Follows departmental guidelines and protocols for digital screening and diagnostic mammography, including Seed Localization and Stereotactic Core Biopsy.
• Adheres to state and federal radiation safety regulations.
• Maintains and completes records related to examinations.
• Performs special projects as directed by the Manager.
• Demonstrates technical/clinical expertise and pursues activities to enhance department quality and productivity.
• May serve as acting QC tech and supervise staff/workflow.
• Collaborates with staff to adapt to changes in patient care and operations.
• Communicates with patients and physicians to expedite care and accommodate acute cases.
• Monitors equipment performance and performs preventative maintenance as required.
• Escalates equipment malfunctions or needed repairs to supervisor/manager.
• Mentors student radiographers/on-boarding mammography technologists and documents progress.
• In supervisor's absence, makes decisions based on established protocols to ensure patient care continuity.
• Assists or arranges appropriate support to accommodate disabled individuals to ensure access to services.
