Stillwater Medical Center Healthcare Authority in Stillwater, OK, is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform outpatient screening and diagnostic imaging, including mammography and bone density studies, while ensuring patient comfort and safety.
The role requires operating imaging equipment, maintaining quality control, and educating patients about procedures, with a focus on compassion and accuracy.
Weekdays 8:30a-5:00p; ARRT certification preferred; BLS within 30 days of hire.
Operates radiographic equipment, digital mammography equipment, and digital bone density equipment to obtain and process diagnostic images, prints film, burns CD’s, coordinates daily QC program, prepares rooms, equipment, supplies, contrast media, and obtains and documents pertinent patient history. Explains exams, screens, and educates patients. Provides compassionate patient care, during imaging procedures. Recognizes image artifact and records information for the patient’s medical record. Explain exams and educates patients about procedure.
Graduated from Radiological Technology Training in a JCERT approved school program.
Preferred ARRT certification.
Additional ARRT (M) Mammography Certification completed within 1 year of hire.
Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
Current BLS card or completion of course within 30 days of hire required.
Able to work in latex-burdened environment.
Must have strength and stamina for prolonged walking and standing.
Able to frequently lift up to 60 pounds, reach, pull, bend, stoop, and kneel.
Demonstrates adequate vision, or correctable with glasses/contacts, to read, write, and evaluate medical images.
Able to hear, or correctable with hearing devices, and able to talk to converse with others in person and over the telephone.
Able to hear, see and feel to accurately observe, monitor, and administer care.
Possess fine motor skills and hand/eye coordination to give care.
