Responsibilities
- Perform mammography procedures while ensuring patient safety, comfort, and quality care.
- Operate mammography equipment and utilize appropriate technical factors, including compression, exposure modes, filters, kVp, mAs, grid selection, focal spot size, AEC selection, and photo cell selection to produce high-quality diagnostic images.
- Maintain compliance with all regulatory, quality assurance, and safety standards.
- Collaborate effectively with radiologists, technologists, and support staff to ensure efficient workflow and exceptional patient outcomes.
- Prioritize tasks effectively and adapt to changing patient volumes in a busy clinical environment.
- Troubleshoot imaging challenges and contribute to process improvements that enhance patient care and operational efficiency.
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of recent experience in the field.
- ARRT (R)(M) Certification required.
- New York State License in Diagnostic Radiologic Technology required.
- BLS Certification required.
- Strong technical expertise and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
