Job summary

Trinity Health Livonia invites applications for a Mammography Technologist within the Mammography department. This full-time role covers diagnostic imaging, QA/QC duties, and requires empathy in high-stress situations.

Day shift, no weekends, and a comprehensive benefits package. The ideal candidate will have JCERT-accredited Radiologic Technologist training, ARRT registration, and Mammography certification or eligibility within six months of hire, plus ongoing CE requirements and strong patient

Qualifications

• Completion of a JCERT-accredited Radiologic Technologist program.
• Registered Radiographer by ARRT.
• Registered Mammography Technologist by ARRT or registry-eligible with Mammography certification within six months of hire.
• Sterotactic breast biopsy experience preferred.
• Maintain 24 CECs in two years and other ARRT requirements.
• Maintain 15 CECs in Mammography within 3 years.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Position Purpose

The mammography technologist will perform diagnostic imaging functions as described in the staff technologist job description. In addition, the mammography technologist will perform mammographic imaging and assume QA/QC responsibilities. The mammography technologist must be self-motivated, use independent judgement and be able to work with minimum supervision. The mammography Technologist must be uniquely empathetic to high stress situations.

Required Qualifications

• Completion of a JCERT accredited Radiologic Technologist program
• Registered Radiographer by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
• Registered Mammography Technologist by ARRT or registry-eligible and must achieve Mammography-certification within six months of hire
• Sterio tactic breast biopsy experience preferred
• Maintain Continuing Education credits (24 CEC in two year period) and other ARRT requirements
• Maintain 15 Continuing Education credits (CEC) in Mammography within a 3-year period.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification as required by the hospital
