Job summary

RadNet in Lakewood, CA, seeks a Mammography Technologist to operate mammography equipment and deliver high-quality diagnostic images while ensuring patient comfort and safety. The role requires ARRT certification, a state radiologic license, and BLS; at least one year of imaging experience is preferred.

You will join a team dedicated to compassionate care and accurate results. We offer competitive pay and benefits, with pay range of $48.00–$63.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• ARRT(R)(M) certification required for the role.

Responsibilities

• Operate mammographic equipment and related devices per policy.
• Produce high quality diagnostic images in a timely manner with patient care.
• Use compression, KvP, Mas, grid, and other adjustments to optimize images.
• Monitor patient wellbeing during exams and respond to issues.
• Explain exam steps to patients and address questions and concerns.
• Safeguard patient information and on-site medications.

You Will

• Perform a variety of tasks involving the operation of mammographic equipment and other equipment/devices with adherence to established company policies and protocols.


• Produce high quality diagnostic images in a timely manner while providing excellent patient care.


• Understand and use compression, exposure modes, filter, KvP, Mas, grid selection, focal spot size, AEC selection, photo cell selection and other adjustments and factors on the equipment in order to produce high quality images.


• Monitor patients’ well-being during exams; recognize patient discomfort or medical problems and take appropriate action.


• Guide patients through this sometimes-difficult process by kindly talking them through the steps and answering their questions and concerns regarding exam procedures and process.


• Respond to physician questions and needs regarding patients.


• Demonstrate competency regarding the need to safeguard patient property and Patient Health Information.


• Safeguard any on site medications in accordance with Company policies, procedures and any legal requirements.


• Demonstrate respect for company property, including any cash and patient financial information on site or on patient portals.


• Be responsive to the needs of others by exhibiting and maintaining professional behavior toward patients and coworkers.


• Demonstrate respect for patient boundaries and cultural sensitivities during all interactions.
