Job summary

RadNet is seeking a Radiologic Technologist in Rochester, NY to perform a variety of diagnostic imaging tasks, including mammography and x-ray operations. The role emphasizes patient care and high-quality imaging while ensuring patient well-being throughout the process.

Ideal candidates should possess ARRT(R)(M) certification, a state license in Diagnostic Radiologic Technology, and effective communication skills. The position offers competitive hourly pay ranging from $27.50 to $44.00, as well as a sign-on bonus and comprehensive benefits.

Job description

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of tasks involving the operation of mammography, x-ray, and/or DEXA equipment.
• Produce high quality diagnostic images in a timely manner while providing excellent patient care.
• Understand and use compression, exposure modes, filter, KvP, Mas, grid selection, focal spot size, AEC selection, photo cell selection and other adjustments and factors on the equipment in order to produce high quality images.
• Monitor patients’ well‑being during exams; recognize patient discomfort or medical problems and take appropriate action.
• Guide patients through this sometimes-difficult process by kindly talking them through the steps and answering their questions and concerns regarding exam procedures and processes.
• Respond to physician questions and needs regarding patients.
