Compensation Range

$30.81 - $41.59 The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job. Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the job's compensation range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations.

Responsibilities
  • Performs mammographic guided exams by following and verifying referring providers' orders and remaining in compliance with the Imaging Sciences department and all governing bodies.
  • Responsible for performing pregnancy tests, scanning patients in a safe and efficient manner, completing all associated paper and computer work, and discharging the patient from the Mammography department with appropriate post mammographic instructions.
  • Receives orientation to the departmental infrastructure, policies, protocols, workflows, procedures and routines.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Identifies patient service requirements.
  • Educates patients/families regarding procedure and/or treatment to be performed.
  • Prepares patient for radiological/mammographic guided procedures.
  • Produces high quality images and prepares/presents them, with other pertinent patient information, for timely interpretation.
  • Prepares and maintains accurate documentation.
  • Maintains production and quality of mammographic images.
  • Follows established standards, orders, protocols and procedures.
  • Ensures minimal radiation to patient and staff by practicing radiation protection techniques (ALARA), patient shielding, and knowledge of exposure factors and automatic exposure controls.
  • Assists leadership with all QA and QC tests and documentation to ensure compliance with MQSA and FDA standards.
  • Other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
  • Completion of formal training in an approved School of Radiologic Technology required
  • Or equivalent combination of education and experience
LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS
  • CRT - Certified Radiologic Technologist current NYS licensure upon hire required
  • ARRT Radiography Certification with CE credits upon hire required
  • CPR - Cardiac Pulmonary Resuscitation upon hire required
  • BCLS - Basic Life Support upon hire required
