Job summary

The Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) is seeking a Mammography Radiologic Technologist to perform screening and diagnostic Mammograms, bone density exams, stereotactic biopsies and needle localization. The role includes equipment maintenance and assisting with QA processes.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, completion of a 2-year allied health program with mammography training, ARRT Mammography registration, and SC license. BLS is required; ACLS preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• Completion of a formal two-year allied health program with mammography training.
• Registered by the ARRT in Mammography and licensed by SC Radiation Quality Standards Association.
• ARRT CT Registration required within 1 year in position.
• Licensure by SC Radiation Quality Standards Association is required.
• Current BLS for Healthcare Providers required; ACLS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform Mammograms (Screening and Diagnostic), Bone Density exams, Stereotactic Biopsies and Needle Localization.
• Maintain x-ray and other equipment in efficient operating order.
• Assist Lead Mammographer to ensure timely Quality Assurance.
