Job summary

Methodist Health System in Texas seeks an experienced mammography technologist to perform quality mammography procedures and assist radiologists in special procedures for early breast cancer detection.

Successful candidates will hold MQSA-compliant radiologic technologist credentials, ARRT certification (M) or ARRT (R) with plans to obtain (M), and a Texas state certification. BLS and prior radiology experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate radiologic technologist program completion and MQSA compliance.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Current ARRT certification with MR credentials; state license as applicable.
• Texas Department of State Health certification.
• 1 year work experience preferred or ARRT (R) with plan to obtain ARRT (M) license within 12 months.

Job Description: In this highly technical allied imaging professional position, you will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide the very best imaging services, which include ultrasound, CT scan, PET scan, interventional radiology, digital mammography, and nuclear medicine. The primary purpose of the mammography technologist position is to perform quality mammography procedures and assist radiologist in special procedures for the early detection of breast abnormalities.

Job Requirements

• Graduate of an approved Radiologic Technologist Program and meets the MQSA guidelines
• Current Basic Life Support certification
• Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists certification - ARRT (M)
• Texas Department of State Health certification
• Work Experience: 1 year preferred
• Or ARRT (R); employee will be required to obtain ARRT (M) license within 1 year of completing orientation
