Job summary

Northside Hospital in Atlanta seeks a Radiologic Technologist specialized in mammography to perform stereotactic procedures, QC tasks, and bone densitometry. You will work with radiologists, float to needed locations, and ensure sterile technique and regulatory compliance.

The role requires ARRT with Radiography and Mammography, BLS, and at least graduate from an accredited program. You will document exams and assist with biopsies, delivering patient education throughout the imaging process.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• ARRT Radiologic Technologist with certification in Radiography and Mammography.
• Qualified to perform stereotactic procedures and QC in mammography.
• Must hold American Heart Association BLS.

Responsibilities

• Performs stereotactic procedures and QC mammography with required documentation.
• Performs all types of mammography imaging including needle localization and ductograms.
• Assists physician with biopsy and aspiration procedures with sterile technique.
• Sets up sterile trays with required supplies and instruments.
• Performs bone densitometry.
• Adheres to regulatory guidelines (ACR/FDA).
• Floats to designated locations according to staffing needs.
• Evaluates images and communicates with Radiologist.
• Educates patient before, during and after exam.
