The Mammography Technologist role at Wellstar Health System involves performing screening and diagnostic breast and bone density exams, under a Radiologist or Manager, ensuring ALARA principles and patient safety.
Requires accredited Radiologic Technology education, ARRT Mammography and Radiography credentials, and 2+ years radiography experience with at least 1 year in breast imaging. Sign-on and relocation assistance available for eligible candidates.

The Mammography Technologist performs screening and diagnostic breast and bone density exams and procedures on patients of all ages to provide physicians with data for diagnostic purposes. The Mammography Technologist works under the direction of a Radiologist and/or Manager.
Accredited Program Radiologic Technology
All certifications are required upon hire unless otherwise stated. BLS - Basic Life Support or ARC-BLS - Amer Red Cross Basic Life Support or BLS-I - Basic Life Support - Instructor ARRT-M - ARRT Mammography ARRT-R - ARRT Radiography
Minimum 2 years Diagnostic Radiography/X-Ray.
Required or Minimum 1 year Breast imaging.
Ability to operate Radiographic equipment. Ability to communicate verbally and written. Possess excellent patient/customer service skills. Operate Breast Imaging Unit- Preferred. Knowledge of Mammography positioning techniques-Preferred.
