Job summary

RadNet is seeking a Mammography Technologist to join our imaging team in Bel Air, MD. You will perform mammographic exams with precision, ensure patient comfort, and uphold the highest standards of safety and image quality.

ARRT certification and State License in Diagnostic Radiologic Technology are required, with BLS also preferred. A sign-on bonus of $10,000 accompanies this role and comprehensive benefits are provided.

Qualifications

  • ARRT(R)(M) certification and state radiologic technology license are required.
  • BLS certification is required.
  • Minimum one year of diagnostic imaging experience preferred.
  • Ability to operate mammography equipment and ensure patient safety.

Responsibilities

  • Operate mammographic and related equipment per policies.
  • Produce high quality diagnostic images and ensure patient comfort.
  • Monitor patient well‑being and respond to discomfort.
  • Guide patients through the exam, answering questions.
  • Maintain patient privacy and safeguard Health Information.
  • Collaborate with physicians and care team to support outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Perform a variety of tasks involving the operation of mammographic equipment and other equipment/devices with adherence to established company policies and protocols.
  • Produce high quality diagnostic images in a timely manner while providing excellent patient care.
  • Understand and use compression, exposure modes, filter, KvP, Mas, grid selection, focal spot size, AEC selection, photo cell selection and other adjustments and factors on the equipment in order to produce high quality images.
  • Monitor patients’ well‑being during exams; recognize patient discomfort or medical problems and take appropriate action.
  • Guide patients through this sometimes‑difficult process by kindly talking them through the steps and answering their questions and concerns regarding exam procedures and process.
  • Respond to physician questions and needs regarding patients.
  • Demonstrate competency regarding the need to safeguard patient property and Patient Health Information.
  • Safeguard any on‑site medications in accordance with Company policies, procedures and any legal requirements.
  • Demonstrate respect for company property, including any cash and patient financial information on‑site or on patient portals.
  • Be responsive to the needs of others by exhibiting and maintaining professional behavior toward patients and coworkers.
  • Demonstrate respect for patient boundaries and cultural sensitivities during all interactions.
  • Demonstrate ability to interact diplomatically and sympathetically with patients, their families, and the public in a clinical setting.
  • Demonstrate ability to establish, nurture, and maintain cooperative working relationships.
You Will

To Ensure Success In This Role, You Must Have
  • ARRT(R)(M) certification
  • State License in Diagnostic Radiologic Technology
