Job summary

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited radiologic technology program resulting in a two-year certificate and/or associate degree or a four-year baccalaureate degree.

Responsibilities

• Prepares patients for mammography procedures and explains the procedure.
• Obtains patient history and consent for contrast when required.
• Ensures accuracy of prescription, precertification, and patient identification.
• Performs mammography and photographs, maintaining appropriate positioning and shielding.
• Performs MQSA-mandated quality control testing and participates in MQSA inspection QC.
• Participates in the ACR accreditation process.
• Maintains and troubleshoots equipment; manages supplies as needed.
